Rolls-Royce has secured a significant contract to supply 60 Trent 7000 engines for Cathay Pacific’s new fleet of 30 Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. The deal also includes a TotalCare service agreement, which covers maintenance and support for the engines.
The Trent 7000 engines, paired with the A330neo aircraft, are expected to reduce emissions by 14%. This order will make Cathay Pacific the largest operator of Trent 7000 engines globally.
Ewen McDonald, Rolls-Royce’s Chief Customer Officer for Civil Aerospace, highlighted the airline’s confidence in the Trent 7000/A330neo combination, emphasizing the benefits of the company’s £1 billion investment in the Trent engine family.
