Wipro Limited has announced a collaboration with the Centre for Brain Research (CBR), an autonomous research organisation incubated at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The partnership aims to harness artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and big data analytics to develop innovative technologies for preventing and managing long-term health disorders.

Subha Tatavarti, Chief Technology Officer at Wipro Limited, expressed the company’s commitment to healthcare transformation through technological innovation. She highlighted the potential of their personal care engine to address lifestyle-related conditions and enhance cognitive and psychosocial functioning.

As part of Wipro’s research and development division, Lab45, they will design and develop a personal care engine powered by AI. This engine will consider an individual’s health history, desired health state, and behavioural responses to promote healthy ageing, positive lifestyle changes, and psychosocial well-being.

Dr. Ajay Chander, Head of Research and Development at Wipro Limited, emphasised their focus on cardiovascular conditions due to their association with long-term cognitive issues and potential health benefits at lower costs.

The testing of the engine will be conducted through a digital app-based trial in collaboration with CBR at IISc. Professor K.V.S. Hari, Director of the Centre for Brain Research, highlighted the opportunity to translate scientific expertise into real-world solutions in cognitive and overall health through this partnership.

The collaboration between Wipro and CBR signifies a concerted effort to leverage advanced technologies for precision healthcare solutions, with a focus on addressing long-term health disorders and improving overall well-being.
